The Standard of Living History and Timeline Events
We strive to bring you the best event possible while keeping costs down. We offer many different types of events to fit your every need. Have an idea that isn't listed below? Just email us and we will work with you to create the perfect event!
By bringing our encampments to your grounds, your clients can take part in hands on activities in each time period and get to know their history in an intimate setting without the cost of transportation.
We can set up to cover world history, beginning with the Vikings and Roman periods and go through the year 2000, making each event a unique experience, built especially for your organization.
Teachers will enjoy the "full circle" curriculum we have developed, allowing the entire day to be utilized while we cover math, science, history, language, and the arts.
For extra fun at school, plan on having an "open house" or festival after hours to allow the students to bring their families back to share in the experience!
Our timeline can be as big or small as suits your space and needs. Contact us for details!
Maybe you are focusing on one time period instead of many...then this is the event for you! Our trained re-enactors come into your classroom and bring a "Trunk of Mystery" along with them that holds a trove of era appropriate treasures! One, two or three re-enactors will come to your classroom and talk about different aspects of life in their time period. Each presentation is given in first-person and time will be allowed for questions at the end. Hands on activities and curriculum can be used during these presentations for schools, if desired
What better way to get involved in history than to experience it! We offer workshops on the following subjects for each time period:
We can tailor a program to fit your age group and type.
Each workshop lasts approximately 50 minutes, with the exception of Dancing and Etiquette, which lasts approximately 90 minutes.
If time is limited, we can arrange for a costumed re-enactor to do a Skype interview with your class. These one person, one era presentations are wonderful for information on one aspect of life during the time period you request.
Each session lasts approximately 30 minutes
At this time we are only scheduling school presentations for the remainder of 2012. Contact us to schedule your 2013 event.
Living History events are a lot of fun...and a lot of work. Whether you have a planning team that needs help or just a break from planning, we can help! We can help your team or organization arrange a wonderful Living History event from speaking presentations to full weekend events to fundraisers. Contact us for more information.
